Give Kyle a 'Helping Hand'
Donation protected
Please help us raise funds for a robotic arm for Kyle Tanner, a 17 year old young man living with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD).
DMD is a rare fatal disorder that causes the muscles in the body to become weak and damaged over time. It is an irreversible, progressive disease, of which there is currently no cure.
Since the age of 10, Kyle has been dependent on a power wheelchair, and has progressively lost mobility and function.
In December 2018, Kyle underwent major Spinal Rod Surgery to relieve the pressure off his vital organs and improve his lung function.
Although the surgery was necessary (and successful), Kyle has lost further strength in his upper limbs and is now unable to lift his arms without assistance.
A robotic arm for Kyle will make a huge impact on his life, by giving him the independence and the dignity to do everyday things for himself - eating, grabbing, scratching - the simple tasks that we take for granted.
'Jeva' is an Australian designed and made robotic arm that has been created to assist people with disabilities in their day-to-day tasks. You can read more about this incredible invention at the following link - https://aubot.com/jeva.html
Any donation great or small will help build a better life for Kyle.
Kyle and his loving family are deeply appreciative of your support.
