Help Give Captain a Chance at Life

Please help us cover new medical expenses for Captain the Husky.
Some of you may remember the amazing story of Captain, who was found at the bottom of a cliff with two badly broken legs and BB pellets in his abdomen. After four complex surgeries (the 4th surgery was in February) and several months of recovery, he was doing beautifully, and was finally able to start living pain-free with full use of all four legs!
And then last week, the unthinkable fluke thing happened -- the screw cap broke off on the metal implant in his back leg, which resulted in part of the implant breaking and repositioning. He now requires urgent surgery to fix this broken implant, but because it's a complex surgery, it will unfortunately be expensive.
After so much triumph over hardship, Captain is so close to leading a normal life, but he needs this one last surgery to fix the broken metal implant that will otherwise cause extreme pain and prevent him from using this leg. PLEASE help us help Captain reach the normal doggie life he deserves. Every little bit helps -- no amount is too small (or too big!)
Throughout all the difficult months, Captain has been an incredible trooper and became an absolute vet favorite at the orthopedic surgeon's office where he was treated. Everyone who meets him falls in love with this gentle boy. He is beautiful inside and out and never lost faith in humans in spite of those who treated him so horribly.
Let's show Captain that we're here to support him through this final phase and cheer him on through his final surgery. It is urgent that we get Captain into surgery as soon as possible.
The two husky rescues involved with saving Captain are 501c3 nonprofit Hollywood Huskies and not-for-profit Halo Husky Haven.
