Help us get Brian to his Boat!

When you think of summer time in Michigan, you think of being in a boat on the lake. For our neighbor, Brian, that is the best way to spend a summer day. Brian has amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, or better known as ALS , a progressive neurodegenerative disease. Getting him to the boat is incredibly difficult to do.  The neighborhood has done an amazing job coming together over the years to help get Brian down the big hill and into the boat so he can enjoy the nice days. Usually his wife and my parents would try to safely carry him, but now it's too risky and they can't any longer due to fear of injury.
They have a plan and have received a quote on what is needed to build a lift to get Brian down the hill and into the boat. The only issue is that it costs more than the neighborhood can pool together on their own. This is an amazing and incredibly hard-working group of people! They are more than neighbors, they are a family and they would do anything they could to help one another. In spite of all the obstacles in his path from ALS, Brian has not let this stop him from living and enjoying the little things that make life special.  Please help us to give Brian an amazing summer on the lake!
