Menstrual health for 250 women
Donation protected
Hope Center Uganda has been providing free menstrual hygiene, reproductive health, and sanitary pad trainings and distributions to 300 women for the past 12 months.
Unfortunately, our suppliers have failed to provide us with pads for the past 3 months. We cannot wait on them any longer: for every month a girl goes without pads, she misses one week of school. Our girls need us, and we need you.
Fortunately, we have found a Danish-Ugandan NGO, She for She , who is willing to provide us with the materials and training sessions necessary to provide 250 women with reusable sanitary pads. These women will be equipped with the education and materials they need to make their own pads, which they can teach their peers how to make, and also sell on into the community, giving them a source of income. Pads can even be sold back to She for She headquarters in Kampala, where they are distributed on to even more women in East Africa.
For the first training session and distribution of materials to make 1,000 reusable pads (4 pads per woman,) we need to raise $1,400.
Please join us in making this possible by donating at the link above. Any money raised over the original amount will be used to expand the program and reach more women!
Thank you,
Hope Center Uganda
