We have a very simple mission: we want to see an end to bottled water at gigs.
As promoters we, like most others, used to put a pack of small plastic water bottles back stage for the performers. At the end of every show we'd be throwing away a load of empty and half-drunk bottles.
At AmericanaFestUK on 31st January 2018, 25 bands will be showcasing to the music industry – promoters, festivals organisiers, agents etc. We want to use this high-profile platform to highlight our mission and spread the word.
We want to give each performing artist a re-usuable water bottle made with recycled plastic, with the Gig Swig logo and mission statment printed on the bottle, for them to use on stage at this event and keep for all their future gigs, spreading the word and saving the oceans... one gig at a time!
Each band we reach could save thousands of discarded plastic bottles every year! You can help us kick-start this movement.
