I am a 36 year old single mom. I was diagnosed in July 2017 with a rare form of spinal cord cancer. Because of its rarity, my doctor is at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN which is 3.5 hours away. I have been traveling there monthly since being diagnosed for treatments and MRI scans. My last few scans have shown a decrease in tumor size!
This fund is for my future. I have been offered a chance to participate in a very rigorous 5 day outpatient rehabilitation program. This will teach me to be more independent (I’m paralyzed due to the cancer). I need this rehabilitation! But because of the distance, I have to get a hotel for the week and also feed myself and my son.
