Gib or Bust 2018
Beschermde donatie
One Sunday afternoon during the weekly trip to the pub we decided it would be a really good idea to do a rally!! We are taking part in the Gib or Bust Rally at the end of September as we thought it would be a fun challenge and to also raise some money for a couple of very good causes.
As this page states the first chosen charity is The Royal Marines Charity. It is founded on the belief that those who put their lives on the line for us deserve a second chance at life. They provide recovery and support for the ‘bootneck’ community whose lives are affected by their service, no matter when they served.
The second charity is SAM (Stand And Matter). It is their mission to help other vulnerable children and families in the Dorset area who may be affected by domestic violence and serious crime. This charity was set up following the tragic death of Sam Henderson due to domestic violence. Sam was a vibrant young women and mother to four young children. We all knew Sam and so this charity is close to our hearts.
We fully understand people don’t have much spare money in the current times but please dig deep and donate what you can however big or small. Every penny will be gratefully received. Don’t forget we are doing this rally in a £281 Ford Mondeo so surely it’s worth paying some money to see Paul driving a Mondeo!! There’s obviously also the risk we don’t make it and so have to live with that humiliation - however the less said about that the better!
