Every year there is a youth conference (GYC: Generation, Youth,Christ) that is held to end the year and bring in the new year with youth who have a desire to serve God from all over the world, and this year it will be held in Phoenix, Arizona.
I have had the privilege of attending twice, and each time it has been a huge blessing, and this year I have been asked to chaperone a couple of young ladies.
First of all, being asked to chaperone someone is a huge honor and a blessing. It is also a chance that I get to make an impact in their lives for the better. To encourage them to take a stand for their beliefs, and to be able to grow in their walks with God, the ultimate friend. But there is more!
Not only are we going to learn more and to share our experiences with other young people, we are also going to volunteer the week prior (the week of Christmas) at Pathways to Health, a free clinic, covering dental, visual, and other medical needs.
As we all know these events always come with a price. With your help, I'll be able to purchase my conference ticket ($135), hotel fee for two weeks ($216), travel expenses from Idaho to Arizona, food, and any other unexpected expenses that are bound to come up during this trip.
Early registration opens on August 1st, and it would be really great to be able to have the majority of the funds by then.
