Get Well Sydney

I have started this gofundme to let you know that Sydney Larson (Melanie’s daughter) has been in a terrible accident. She was hit by a car last night and has a shattered pelvis, lacerated liver, spleen and kidney, bleeding on the brain and a hole in her heart that most people would have never survived. She has had 2-surgeries today, one on her pelvis and one on her heart (aortic bridge). She is in an induced coma with an external fixation of her pelvis and through her back to keep her from moving. In the future she will have internal rods through her hips. She is going in for an MRI in the morning. I will update as I know more.

Melanie called us at 3am so we could pray with her for Sydney. She flew to Vancouver this morning at 7am and is with her now. 

As you can all imagine, it’s a very fragile state right now. We don’t know what the outcome will be but we will only hold onto the belief that God performs miracles. We believe Sydney will be one of those miracles. Mel has asked that I reach out and ask for prayer for Sydney. EVERY SINGLE PRAYER HELPS!!

Mel doesn’t know I have this page and would probably kill me, but I need to do SOMETHING for one of my best friends and this is it.

I'm doing the fundraiser for Mel so she can stay in a hotel when she there and not have to sleep in the family waiting area. It would help pay for food etc.  We have no idea how long she will be in Vancouver General but do know it’s going to be a very long haul and the cost is going to add up!  If anyone would like to help out and donate any amount of money, no matter how small, it would not go unnoticed or unappreciated. She is by Sydney's side and cant take a lot of calls, but please reach out to her by private messaging her inbox if you have anything you want to tell her <3 Thank you for understanding!

I just ask that we all respect her privacy for this first little bit as It’s all very fresh but I PROMISE TO KEEP YOU ALL UPDATED .
