Get Travis off the bench!

For the last few months, Travis has lived on a bench at the corner of Mell and McLendon, or at the corner of Callan Cir and McLendon. Many neighbors have had conversations with Travis and have offered food and money, but he is still on the street and winter is now upon us. A core group of people from the neighborhood has been working to find a sustainable path of support for Travis. At a recent community meeting, we learned that he is in process to find permanent housing, a process that should finalize in the next few months. We need your help to support Travis by providing an extended stay hotel room (and a small amount of money for food and essentials) until he can be placed in a permanent housing arrangement with surrounding support services to help keep him off the street.

Travis was a talented and distinguished artist before his troubles began, and we believe with support and encouragement, he could find his way back into supporting himself. Will you lend a hand this holiday season to help support some in need in our community?
