Island Con 'Insolvency' Leaves Students Without Books
During these times when every public service is having their budget, schools are trying everything they can, to raise additional funds for educational resources.
Cowes Enterprise College did just that, taking the chance on working with Alliance Conventions to put on the 'Island Con' event and in return for use of the school grounds, Alliance Conventions would pay the school.
Unfortunately, the event bombed, Alliance Conventions are now insolvent and the school is out of pocket. Regardless of who is at fault, the students shouldn't have to suffer for it.
If they don't have books, in what will they scribble artful graffiti?
As a former student of Cowes High School and someone realizing that if we want something done properly, we should probably fund it and do it ourselves. I say, dig deep, give what you can, share this post and let's get these kids some books!
