Getting our DI team to Globals!!!

Our 4th grade Destination Imagination team is headed to Global Finals in May where we will compete against teams from more than 15 different countries! Destination Imagination is a competitive problem solving organization that promotes team work, creativity and innovative thinking!  Our team has been working together solving problems, creating awesome skits, and impacting our community for 4 years!  This year as part of our DI challenge, we determined a need in our community, as well as planned and carried out a toiletry drive for the nearly 1,000 homeless high school kids in Douglas County.  We surpassed their goal of collecting 1,000 toiletries by collecting 1,778 items! Items were donated to Fresh Harvest Food Bank.  We received a special Spirit of DI award for our impact on the community at our regional tournament, and placed 1st in our challenge category, allowing us to go on to the Colorado State tournament where we placed 2nd, qualifying us for the Global Finals tournament. We truly won the hearts of our audiences at both tournaments by presenting our project as a musical fable!

As a team we need $8,200 as soon as possible for registration, travel expenses, lodging, and meals in order to attend this once in a lifetime competition.
