Get Kellie Moving

Kellie is tough - and a fighter. For now, she continues to work full-time in a rural health clinic helping others when she herself is in such a battle. Many of you who know Kellie have seen her go from completing a triathlon and the Seattle-To-Portland bike ride and running around the dog show ring to being forced by Multiple Sclerosis (MS) into a wheelchair. So many of you have asked how you can help. This is one way.
Kellie's legs are becoming increasingly unstable and she is falling more frequently. She needs a better way to get around. We recently purchased a manual wheelchair for her. Now come the next steps.
Kellie needs a mobility conversion van to allow her to get in and out of the vehicle without getting out of her wheelchair. Her current home is not wheelchair-accessible, so she and her husband, who just recently lost his job, are selling the Whidbey Island sanctuary they have called home for almost 30 years and are moving to Denver soon to be closer to her children and grandson. With so many interlocking and overlapping needs, this van is a critical piece for her to get around both before and after they get there. And for a long time to come.
These vans are expensive. We are looking to purchase a used mobility van with low mileage still under warranty. All the money raised by this campaign will go toward the down-payment/purchase of a mobility van that meets Kellie's needs; one where she can roll in and out rather than have to transfer and risk falling again. Any overage will go to an electric wheelchair and other ADA needs. ANY contribution of any size is helpful and greatly appreciated!
To all who have loved, blessed, and been blessed by Kellie: Thank you.
To all who have asked how you can help… again, thank you.
