This is my amazing friend Emily. Em is a young single parent to 2 kids under the age of 5; she is an amazing mum, she's an incredibly supportive and loving friend and she cares about people so much and asks for so little in return.
Just recently Emily spent weeks of her time planning and organising a picnic to give donations to the Melbourne Period Project; she has previously hosted events at her home for her friends; and in true mum fashion never lets us leave without sending home food and love.
Emily loves One Direction, and she LOVES Harry Styles.
The first time we actually met in person was at a One Direction concert.
Until recently she had a ticket to see Harry Styles perform in Melbourne next month but due to a relationship breakdown she's lost the ticket that was rightfully hers, funded by her community of friends. The concert is sold out. At the moment, Ticketmaster Resale is selling tickets for ~$250 and I want to buy one for her to make sure that she can get there but much as I would love to pay for her, I don't have a spare $200. Em's community is wide and I know there are so many people who love her. A lot of us donated before and that money might never be seen again (but it will if I have any say in it!!) but if I can plead for the generosity of my friends one more time I will make sure that Emily gets to see Harry Styles; has the best time ever; and loses her voice from singing and screaming along.
I'm aiming for $250-300 to make sure we can get a ticket and will contact everyone to refund them the difference if it ends up being less than that.
