Hi, we raising money for my 11 year old daughter to enable her to compete next year at a higher level. Catherine races the Honda-cadet 200cc pro Extreme class up and down the country reaching speeds of amost 60mph.
Catherine’s aim is to prove that being a girl is no weakness at all. She believes that if she can keep up front it will encourage more girls to get into motorsport.
Unfortunately even at this day and age we still get the shock horror my boy has just been beaten by a girl syndrome. This has proved to be a problem when she was mid pack, quite often Catherine would be rammed off track however this just made her stronger.
We frequently test at local tracks KNE and Teesside autodrome .This can sometimes be up to 3 times per week. so catherine quite often she takes her homework with her so she doesn’t fall behind.
Catherine has had a good few podium finishes now and finished 2nd last year in the Cumbrian championship. She recently won the winter cup at Teesside Autodrome no she has the right to run the 0 plate. Catherine also qualified 2nd at Shennington on her second visit to the track.
Catherine has to run on a much lower budget than most kids in her class as she is one of 4 young children. Often she will end up running on second hand tyres and older engines just to keep the cost down.
Any help would be much appreciated especially as her younger brother Thomas is hoping to get into cadet racing next year. Thomas is also looking like he could become a star. Catherine has been coaching him with his lines at Teesside and KNE the results speak for them selves. Thomas recently won in his bambeno class.
Shennington alone will cost over £1800.00 and that’s just entry fees and fuel to travel there. Catherine is hoping to compete as much as she can.
We have recently had help from local businesses which has been fantastic and much appreciated however the ongoing cost is always a problem.
We are happy to promote businesses on her race kart and trailer etc.
