Once Upon A Time.....
(As all good stories begin,)
There was a boy named Cameron whose father was a magical wizard called a DISNEY IMAGINEER.
These magical wizards were the creative geniuses behind a brilliant new land called SHANGHAI DISNEYLAND.
Now, Cameron never thought he would see the magic land of Shanghai Disney, and neither did his mother, Laura.
But, as it so happens, Laura's students (a gaggle of super-talented, super-high-achieving, super-outstanding young Chinese-Americans) have been invited to Beijing this summer to perform.
Laura gets to go along, her trip paid for by the performing company!
Now, here is the TURN OF EVENTS:
If We The People can raise enough money, Cameron can accompany his mom, and they can take a side trip to Shanghai via high-speed train, and spend a day reveling in Cameron's Dad's Magical Creation!!
Laura has no way to fund this magical dream herself.
A magical dream of being able to actually walk through the Lands Which Devin Built, see the Attractions Which Devin Helped Design, and experience the Dream Devin Made Come True....
What an incredible opportunity for Cameron, and for Laura too.
Like the storyteller mentioned before, Laura's trip is covered by the company she works for. It's Cameron's trip she has no way to pay for.
SO!!! She is turning to YOU.
This isn't a life-or-death situation.
This isn't a powerful charity platform.
This isn't something that will help fight against injustice or prejudice or racism or misogyny or homophobia or hate.
This isn't an opportunity to help the homeless or feed the orphans.
This is simply a kid getting to take a trip of a lifetime, and see the Disney Park his own father helped to Imagineer.
So, if you are able, and willing, and wanna help send a kid to China, it would be super amazingly beyond rad.
