Exciting news! We have been given a donation of £400 towards the trip so we have now smashed the target. Thank you so much to everyone who donated we massively appreciate you!!
Girl Got Faith is the teen girl's guide to faith, beauty and lifestyle, and we are passionate about raising fearless women who will influence and lead their generation.
This April I will be taking our workshops out to the New Life Children's Centre in The Gambia, where we will be focusing on self esteem and body image.
New Life Children’s Centre has two school sites, based in The Gambia, where their mission is to provide children in the local community with full-time quality education, which they wouldn't normally be able to afford.
Since my last visit to NLCC a year ago I have dreamt of being able to take our workshops out to the girls with the hope of encouraging and empowering them, in a society where they are often subordinate to men.
But it costs money to make this happen, which is why I need your help!
I want to be 100% honest about where all the donations will be going so here is a breakdown of costs:
Flight and hotel: £550
Evening meal: £70
Transport for the week: £50
Resources for workshop: £30
GGF gifts for the girls: £100
I will be covering my own costs for things like lunch, snacks, spending money, malaria tablets, and anything extra that crops up!
I really believe that Girl Got Faith is having a positive influence on so many young women and it is such a priviledge to be able to go and share the love to even more girls across the globe.
I would be so incredibly grateful for any contribution to help make this happen!
