My beautiful niece Georgia turned 3 on the 6th June 2012 but before she could even celebrate this was rushed to hospital. This morning she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of spinal cancer. She is currently being treated at St. Luke's Medical Center in the Philippines.

All healthcare in the Philippines is private and as Georgia was being treated for a related (but at the time unknown) side effect - the inability to walk without severe pain - my sister and brother-in-law's health insurance has been exhausted and will not now cover the cancer.

Georgia is not eligible for British citizenship, so the only option at the moment is treatment in the Philippines. With the latest genetic treatments costing thousands, there is a huge financial barrier to getting our beautiful niece well again.

Many people have asked if they can help, so we have decided to set up this site so you can help our little niece. We will be adding more information in the coming days and keeping everyone updated with her progress.

All funds will be used solely to enable Georgia to receive and access appropriate care, medication and treatment for cancer. Any remaining funds when Georgia is better, will be donated to cancer research charities.

Anyone who has met this beautiful little spark of life will know what a wonderful girl she is and everyone will know that this situation is a parents worst nightmare.

Any donation, however small, will help to make a huge difference. £5 is the minimum donation through the GoFundMe website however you can send smaller amounts directly via the Georgia's Fund Paypal account or if you don't have Paypal you can make payments directly to the UK bank account - please contact me for details.
