Georgia Law Enforcement

Donation protected
This fundraiser is for the startup costs associated with the fees, dues, and related costs to bring this organization to fruition.  The Georgia Law Enforcement Organization will be a non-profit organization which will be established to create a supportive and informational network within the state of Georgia for local, state, and federal law enforcement officers.

We will offer the following services:

* Legal council
* Mental health resources
* Training and educational resources
* Funeral / wounded officer support
* Social networking platform
* Firearms instructors for retired officers to requalify with
* Grants / safety equipment for agencies with low funding

Our 3 year plan consists of the following services for all Georgia certified law enforcement officers:

* To create a social networking platform for Georgia Law Enforcement officers to discuss Law Enforcement related issues, network socially, discuss high profile cases, and present training topics.

* To offer a support system for families of injured or fallen officers.  (i.e. assistance through fundraisers, charity events, show of support at funerals, and staying involved in fallen officer’s children’s lives)

* To create an emotional support system for officers, which is separate from departmental support due to fear of professional repercussions.

* To establish a network of attorneys throughout the state that specialize in criminal defense and constitutional law who are available to law enforcement officers.

* To hold annual conferences which contain training seminars, Georgia POST recognized training courses, a vendor show, debriefs of high profile cases, and general team building and leadership training.

* To create a job board specific to Georgia Law Enforcement that contains agency job postings statewide.

* To provide retired officers with POST recognized firearms instructors to conduct their annual firearms requalifications.

The Georgia Law Enforcement Organization’s goal is to establish a solid foundation within the first 3 years, and then grow the company to bigger and better benefits for Georgia officers, their families, and their communities.  Following the initial 3 year plan, we would like to perfect the initial services to the utmost potential, and then:

 * To create an accidental death fund for on-duty related deaths that would payout to the officer’s spouse, or children, in the amount of their most recent one year salary.

* To establish a scholarship/grant fund for children whose parent was killed in the line of duty.

* To provide agencies with safety equipment and other authorized equipment, which are not standard issue, through federal and state grants, sponsorships, and donations.

* Utilizing our already established network of mental health professionals; to establish a 24-hr suicide hotline.
