Ich habe Brustkrebs und es wurde nach der Operation des Tumors ein mittleres Risiko für einen Rückfall festgestellt. In diesem Fall hätte man noch vor 5 Jahren in jedem Falle Chemotherapie empfohlen. Inzwischen weiß man, dass das bei vielen Frauen aber ‚übertherapierte‘. Also wurde ein Gentest entwickelt, mit dessen Hilfe man 60% der Frauen die Chemotherapie ersparen kann. Dieser ist bereits Wissenschaftlichen geprüft so dass einige gesetzliche Krankenkassen diesen Test schon bezahlen. Meine leider nicht.
Also musste ich ihn bezahlen.
Und durch die Erkrankung kann ich nicht mehr für meinen Lebensunterhalt wie bisher aufkommen. Ausreichende Absicherung gab es für mich als Selbstständige leider nicht.
Es wird also finanziell gerade sehr eng und ich bin um
jede Hilfe dankbar !!
I have breast cancer and there is a moderate risk of relapse after the tumor surgery. In a case like this, chemotherapy would have been recommended 5 years ago. In the meantime it is known that in many women this is 'overtherapied'. So a genetic test was developed to save 60% of women from chemotherapy. This test has already been scientifically tested and some statutory health insurance companies are already paying for it. Unfortunately not mine.
So I have had to pay for it by myself out of my own pocket. Which has been limited due to my time off from surgery and all the medical testing I have done.
Because of this unexpected illness and all the ongoing treatment and testing that lies ahead my ability to earn my living has been greatly reduced and leaves me with great concerns to what lies ahead.
I am preparing for ongoing treatment that could be 5 months or more and am living day to day with these financial concerns.
I am grateful for any assistance that you may find in your heart to give. Bless you for your gifts and I pray for the day that I am healthy enough to give someone the gift of life that you are giving me.
