Genese is running for City Council to turn the neighborhood power on! 

While recent initiatives of administrations nationwide have pushed externally-motivated agendas upon citizens, turning once livable cities into expensive enclaves that displace former residents, destroy historical and cultural treasures, and endanger our ecological health, we can imagine a different system wherein Neighborhood Planning Assemblies determine neighborhood priorities which serve the long-term needs of citizens and small, local businesses, rather than the immediate profit of developers and big-business speculators.

A system where all initiatives consider ecological, aesthetic, and human costs, and proceed through truly democratic processes from the grassroots up.
