A loving friend, family and community member, Gene Brookover, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday. He left behind his wife Chrissy, sons Tyler, Jeff and Brandon, daughter Teleshia and grandson Kolton. He was a beeming light in the community. Gene worked for the railroad for ten years before retiring. He was a member of the United Bikers of Northern Califorina and  a long time resident of Weverville/Louiston area. He will be missed by may and loved by all. He could put a smile on your face or a pat on your back with uplifting words no matter the circumstances. He also was a mechanic and enjoyed tinkering on cars and toys. He loved riding his Harley any chance he got. He would  go camping hiking and trips to scenic places  any time with his family. He loved taking his grandson for rides and would make him burgers and fries any time he asked. He liked his cars and was very proud of his Cadillac and kept his cars scrub up and all shiny and nice. He played pool and was on a tourniment team  last year. We are needing to get help with costs of his buriel and memorial services.
