Rockland School

Rockland School is a nursery and primary school located in Ngaramtoni, Tanzania. It counts with more than 150 students between the ages of 3 and 12. The principal of the school, Charles Mazulla, has the project to expand the school so the students can study secondary education. This project is very important because there is not many schools in the area that allow kids to study secondary education. For this reason, he needs funding, because it is necessary to buy a piece of ground, build the new classrooms and hire more teachers. He needs around 8 million Tanzanian Shillings, which equals to around 3.000 Euros.
We are a group of six students from Spain that have stayed four weeks during the Summer teaching the kids in the school. It has been a great experience for us, so we have decided to help the best way we can.
We would really appreciate any donation. We also want to invite anyone who would like to participate in volunteering projects at Rockland. For this you can visit the Khaya web page, the NGO that is in contact with the school.

 El Rockland School es un colegio de educación infantil y primaria situado en Ngaramtoni, Tanzania. Cuenta con más de 150 alumnos de entre 3 y 12 años. El director del colegio, Charles Mazulla, tiene el proyecto de ampliar el colegio para que los alumnos puedan estudiar la secundaria. Este proyecto es muy importante ya que hay pocos centros educativos en la zona en los que se curse educación secundaria, y muchos de estos alumnos podrían no llegar a cursarla nunca. Para esto necesita fondos, ya que es necesario comprar terreno nuevo, construir nuevos edificios y contratar a nuevos profesores. Para este proyecto con necesarios 8 millones de Chelines tanzanos, es decir, unos 3.000 Euros.
Nosotros somos seis jóvenes españoles que hemos pasado cuatro semanas durante el verano dando clases a los niños del colegio y, al haber sido una gran experiencia, hemos decidido intentar ayudar como podamos.
