Sacked by Chinese Company for Political Views

Late Friday 17 May, my employer sent me a letter asking me to show cause why I should not be sacked. The correspondence informed me that my candidacy at the NSW and Federal elections was “in conflict with its business” and “its core values”, and they intended to terminate my employment.
Chinese-owned Goldwind is an energy market giant whose business model in Australia rests heavily on generous subsidies for renewable energy. I’ve been employed as a Senior Health and Safety Advisor at Goldwind for almost two years and never had any issues with the company besides this one.
When I stood as a candidate at the recent NSW and Federal elections, I took comfort from the fact that every Australian worker is protected against “adverse action” being taken against them because of their political opinions under the Fair Work Act.
Those rights under the Fair Work Act include protection against being fired because of your political views and political activities outside of the workplace.
I am concerned that Chinese firms like Goldwind do not appreciate the democratic freedoms Australians are guaranteed by our legal system. It also worries me that other Australians could also find themselves in a similar situation and losing their livelihoods as a result of their personal views.
On the 3rd June I received another letter from Managing Director of Goldwind stating that my job will cease and my Termination took effect 5pm June 6th 2019.
I have taken legal action in relation to the matter in the Federal Court – and it is NOT cheap. My legal team is fighting this battle not just to protect my job, but the jobs of ALL Australian workers. Australians should be allowed to express themselves politically without having to fear being sacked by their employers.
I NEED your help. I need to raise funds urgently to sustain the legal action against Goldwind in the Federal Court. I have limited funds, so I am appealing publicly for assistance.
I am a very proud person and I don't like doing this, but I need your support to fight this together and win. This is just not my battle, but about EVERY worker in Australia who may aspire to office, contribute to public discussion, or simply express a political view in private.
