Gary Joe Youngblood

In February of 2016, Joe came to stay with extended family LeeAnn & Steven Bryant in Roanoke Rapids, NC. Joe worked and stayed with the family for awhile until moving out on his own. Being young, only 28 yrs old, & on his own, thinking he had his whole life ahead of him, as most young ppl do he had no life insurance. On July 22nd, Joe got his employer to drop him off by the recreation center only to never be heard from again by family. On August 5th Joe was officially filed as a Missing Person with the Roanoke Rapids Police Department.  One day shy of 8 months of numerous searches, facebook postings, & numerous flyer postings by LeeAnn a body was found near an old beauty shop on Hwy158. A prayer vigil was done to recognize the 3 Missing persons in the area while we all awaited the positive id on the remains. Finally on April 7th after 8 months & 17 days LeeAnn & her husband Steven were given the news that the remains were positively identified as Gary Joe Youngblood. Our community needs to come together as whole and help this family out who has many sleepless nights of worry, many days & nights of searching, to help give their loved one a proper & decent memorial !
