I have recently lost my dad at the tender age of 59 to cancer.
My Dad was admitted to St Anne's Hospice for symptom control & didn't get to come home.
He spent 7 weeks in the hospice, cared for daily by the amazing team they are.
I never knew much about hospices or the reason they existed until my Dad needed their services.
The truth is, we never know when we will need this service nor do you
St Anne's hospice along with 2 other's Manchester based is only a third funded by the NHS & requires £16000 per day in public donations to survive.
£16.000 per day! These figures shocked me & seeing the amazing work they do I need to thank them for the amazing care they gave to my Dad.
I have a lot of happy memories of my dad, spending time with him as a child & adult at the airport pub. My dad liked to travel & spent his last few weeks watching the planes fly over the hospice.
for this reason, even though I'm scared to death of hights & not mad keen on those small planes! I have decided to raise as much as possible for this amazing charity by doing a sky dive!!!
Please, any amount would be of help. From 50p - £1 or what ever you can spare.
my goal is £500
I plan to jump at the end of June :)
