Gareth's 2017-2018 Season

My name is Gareth Williams; I am a 20-year-old Cross-Country Ski athlete on the U25 National Ski Team. I have lived in Kelowna my whole life and skied with the Telemark Cross-Country Race Team my entire career. The 2016-2017 season was my best race season to date. I accomplished many of my goals where I placed 11th at World Juniors, raced my first World Cup and won two Junior National Titles. I work hard at training, school and work on the side to make money to fuel my dream. My priority heading into these nexts months is to race and perform at the U23 World Championships in Switzerland. The season has started nicely and I am excited to see what I can do in the coming months. 

Racing at the national and international level is an expensive endeavour as each race season costs me approximately $20,000. Any financial help would be greatly appreciated!
