Galway Night for Syria

A special fundraising event for people who are suffering in Syria will be held in the Clayton Hotel on March 16th.
The event is being organised by a group of local people in order to raise money to provide shelter and emergency aid to people who have fled their homes due to the conflict in Syria. All proceeds from the event will go to Trócaire’s work in Syria.
We are a local group of people in Galway who have come together to fundraise for the displaced people of Syria, who we are all painfully aware are really suffering. We had all seen the devastating graphic images and videos of the people of Syria on the television, newspapers and Facebook. It was heart-breaking. We decided that we wanted to do something about it.
We would like to raise as much money as possible to get it to the people of Syria in order to help reduce the amount of suffering that they are experiencing, by providing much needed food and shelter.
This project is supported by Niall O'Keeffe, Head of Middle Easr and Asia for Trócaire. He guarantees that 100% of funds raised will go to children and families in Syria. He will be present on the Galway Night for Syria event.
We want to coordinate an event to enable the people of Galway to make a difference to the people of Syria.
