Gal's Guide to the Galaxy
We could use your help and support with our awesome new flagship content.
Introducing Your Gal Friday. We’ll be bringing you a profile of a gal who is a leader, innovator or rule breaker. These are amazing gals of the past and present that we all can learn something from. Gals like Dorothy Arzner who invented the boom microphone for film & TV, Bessie Coleman first African-American to get a pilot’s license, and Carol Shaw early video game designer.
Your Gal Friday has 3 highly shareable and educational elements:
· A podcast
· A short educational video
· A profile article
Not only is Gal’s Guide creating this online content, we’re bringing a program into schools. Gal’s Guide already offers a Kindergarten through University program called Women You Haven’t Learned About in School, now Your Gal Friday will be a way to learn even more about these fab gals and more! Perfect for educators, parents and woke kids!
With your help, this can be a weekly series on galsguide.org!
We’re seeking to raise $5,600 to fund the first year of Your Gal Friday as a weekly series.
Funds support:
· Upgrades to podcast equipment
· School outreach travel costs
· Photo and video licensing fees
· Podcast hosting fees
· Marketing so people can find the content
