Okay here it is, My names Kirstie and I am raising money to go volunteering in Cambodia, Borneo and Kenya with Camps International. Embracing the challenge and changing lives!
Who would have thought it was so expensive to go volunteering aye? Well here I am asking for the help of you lovely people to help me to go and help others. In the next couple of months I will be going to be doing:
*a sponsored 30 mile bike ride 16th SEPTEMBER 2018 ( I would much prefer to run as I hate bikes - they give you a sore bum, but unfortunately I can no longer run on Drs orders as I have mis-shapen hips)
Completed in 2hrs 8mins
*Car boot sales, Ebay selling
*A CAKE SALE
* Cleaning & Car washing
* and anything else I can do to raise extra money!
While away volunteering I will be doing various Conservation, Coast, Marine, Climate Change, Community and Environment work.
Examples of the this will include improve local schools and community facilities, building flood defence, plastering, painting, making waterholes for wildlife, environmental education, tree planting, making classroom furniture, making play equipment and landscaping , wildlife monitoring, installing water storage tanks and pipes, removing plastic from beaches, unsetting animal traps as well as soooo much more!
As well as this we will be enjoying time with the locals, learning about their culture and just generally there to help as much as possible - helping the elderly, adults, children and animals land and sea.
I am SO excited for this opportunity and if you can help in any way possible, big or small. it would be greatly appreciated.
( I will be covering the costs of flights, travel vaccines/tablets, spending money etc - THE MONEY RAISED IS SOLELY USED FOR THE VOLUNTEERING)
