Mis queridos y queridas, comparto una pequeña historia, espero que acabe con un final feliz.
Hace unos años en un viaje a Etiopía conocí a dos hermanitos, me llamaron la atención sobre el resto porque no estaban con ningún adulto y por la forma en la que el mayor se ocupaba del pequeño, siempre pendiente de que tomase la medicación y de que comiese. No pude evitar conmoverme con su historia, la voy a intentar resumir para que no se haga muy largo el texto.
Su madre y su hermano del medio fallecieron cuando ellos eran unos niños a causa del VIH y se quedaron desamparados.
Durante demasiado tiempo durmieron en la calle, durmieron en casas de desconocidos cuando tenían suerte y les acogían, deambularon sin rumbo por las calles y sobre todo pasaron mucha, mucha, mucha hambre.
Cuando su mala salud se lo permitía trabajaban en la mina de oro local, pero por su mala alimentación su sistema inmunológico no les permitía realizar un trabajo tan duro y enfermaban continuamente.
Los años han ido pasando y se han convertido en unos chicarrones. Desde hace un tiempo me encargo de su manutención, una pequeña ayuda con la que pagan casa y comida cada mes.
Hace una semana me contactaron con una idea, les gustaría dejar de vivir de mi ayuda y ser autosuficientes, para ello quieren montar un pequeñito negocio.
Su idea es vender gallinas en el mercado de su pueblo, Kibre Menguist, cada martes y sábado.
La inversión inicial es de unos 1000€ y si con vuestra ayuda consiguiese juntar un poco más, podrían vender también cabras y así salir de la miseria y tener por primera vez en su vida una alegría y una ilusión.
A mi me ha parecido una muy buena idea y quiero ayudarles a conseguirlo.
Como soy su amiga y ellos me han pedido ayuda, yo os pido ayuda a vosotros que sois los míos.

My dearest all, I would like to share a little story, I hope it ends with a happy ending.
Few years ago on a trip to Ethiopia I met two little brothers, they drew my attention over the rest because they were not with any adult and also because of the way the elder was taking care of the younger, always waiting for him to take the medication and making sure he was eating. I couldn´t help to be thrill by watching them take care of each other.
The days were passing by and I learned more about their life, I will try to make it short.
His mother and middle brother died when they were kids due to HIV, leaving them in a difficult situation.
For too long they slept in the street, slept in someone else’s house when they were lucky and some strangers allowed them to stay in their homes, and overall, hunger was present in too many occasions.
When their weak health allowed it, they worked at the local gold mine, but because of their poor diet, their immune system did not allow them to do such a hard work and they were sick all the time.
The years have passed and they have become teenagers. Lately I have been in charge of their support so I send them every month a small help to pay house and food.
A week ago they contacted me with an idea, they would like to stop living from my little help and be self-sufficient, for this they want to start a small business.
His idea is to sell hens in the market of his town, Kibre Menguist, every Tuesday and Saturday.
The initial investment is about 1000€ and if with your help I could get a little more, they could also sell goats and get out of misery and have for the first time in their life a joy and an illusion.
It seemed like a very good idea to me and I want to help them to make it true.
I am their friend and they have asked me for help, and because you are my friends, I will ask you to help me to make their dream come true.
If you have 10 euros left this Christmas, 5, 2, 1 €, whatever, and you can help me, they and I will be eternally grateful.
