Hi everyone,
I created a Gofundme account in order to help raise expenses for college as well qualify for a $10,000 scholarship from the GoFundMe community that goes towards college!
I am 19 years old and a month ago I moved to California from Pennsylvania by myself in order to attend an accredited school out here by the name of NYFA. It is a school for performing arts and I will be in the BFA for Acting in Film program.
Originally, I had attended West Chester University in hope to get a solid degree in a guaranteed job field (which were my parents wishes), but as that year continued I decided to take a risk and go after what I really wanted to be in life- in the entertainment industry. The entertainment industry is a hit or miss when it comes to getting your talent discovered but I feel that I have what it takes to work hard everyday and be persistent in order to one day make my dream become a reality.
I graduated high school in June of 2015 and worked hard in order to get my associate's degree which I attained this summer before moving to Cali. I am very excited as my new journey continues but funds would always be helpful as the sad but true saying is "students are always broke."
I feel that I am eligible for this scholarship because I am working hard to pursue my aspirations in life and have a good head on my shoulders. I do work aside from going to school, I have two jobs, as well as babysit sometimes- as I am in charge of paying for all of my bills (yay for growing up :-) haha). Going to school, feeding myself, and making sure I have enough money for rent, textbooks, and tuition can be a huge weight on my shoulders sometimes because it all adds up. Currently, I am unsure of how long I can attend school due to the tuition rate and due to limited resources for aid in funds but I have faith that life will somehow work it out to make this possible for me. I know I have what it takes to succeed.With that being said, it would be so helpful to be granted a scholarship like this.
I need 10 donors to donate by Sept 28th in order to qualify for this scholarship so feel free to throw me a dollar :)
Please help ya girl out, school tuition isn't cheap nowadays :(
