Team Kim

Our friend Kim has been battling breast cancer for the past nine years. It has been an up and down struggle for Kim, her husband,and her two sons ages 12&14.  Through it all Kim has managed to maintain a postitive outlook.  She never complains although it is obvious that she is in pain. She is always thinking of others and how she can help them, yet never expects anything in return.

Several months ago Kim found out that the cancer had spread to her liver but  that didn't stop Kim from coming to work the next day with her radiant smile. You see Kim is not only a dedicated mother and a terrific friend, she is an amazing teacher. She thinks of creative and innovative ways to inspire her students while silently suffering inside. Whenever you pass her classroom you can hear Kim leading her students in a song  or a silly story about math.  Kim is an inspiration to all who know her.  While the cancer keeps taking from Kim' s body, she keeps on giving to others. She is always the first to volunteer to help out, whether it is school, family , friends, or various charities.

After completing the last several months of chemotherapy, Kim was dealt an even harsher blow..... The cancer has now spread to her brain. Kim is unable to work at the moment due to the immediate need for intense daily radiation treatments on top of her already debilitating chemotherapy. These treatments come at a hefty cost even with medical insurance,  We want to raise money so that Kim can concentrate on her health instead of worrying about the financial burden this disease is putting on her husband and her two young boys.  Kim has had such a positive impact on all who know her.
