Chinese Field Trip - Chinese Dance

I am the Chinese teacher at Highland Park Elementary. Last year due to construction at our school, I started a new tradition to bring all students at HPE to a Chinese dance performance to celebrate Chinese New Year. 

The field trip is a Chinese New Year Production put on annually by CAAM Chinese Dance Theater. Each year CAAM Chinese Dance Theater does a great job introducing the Chinese culture through dance and music. 

This field trip allows the students to be enriched in Chinese culture, music, and dance. We are kicking off our fundraising effort early this year for our end of January field trip.  We are raising money for tickets and transportation. Each ticket costs $7.00 and buses will cost roughly about $3200 or more to transport all 448 students and 25 staff members to O'Shaughnessy Theater.
