Saving Mabels Life
I am raising money to help pay for surgery for my puppy Mabel. After 5 weeks of having Mabel I began to notice I have took on more than I can afford. I was given Mabel from a family member for free as he owed my family money, instead of money he gave me a puppy. When Mabel fell ill my family member blocked me and has since refused to state if she was given to me Ill or not. She isn’t insured and when I’ve tried to insure her the insurance is void due to her problems starting before I even had ownership of her.
Mabel is suffering from pneumonia and has been for 3 months now. She is on 3 types of medication which is costing me £50 per week. She has had one X-ray and a lung flush which cost £500. She has now been rushed into out of hours care twice, both costing £2500. I am a 24 year old who has just moved into her own home and don’t have any savings, my parents have remortgaged their house to fund Mabels care until now.
This evening Mabel was rushed back into out of hours where we were told she is goingto need care over a few days (£2500) and when she is stable a lung flush and x-ray to determine whether or not this pneumonia is cureable. Hearing the news that my best friend might not make it through the night but if she does I need to find £3000 to fund it is not how I expected to spend my night. Without the funds for Mabel’s treatment she will be euthanased, which I can’t even dream of.
Mabel came into my life after a year of absolute hell. I have suffered from depression and anxiety for several years now and this year I regrettably tried to take my life twice, nearly succeeding. Mabel has been beside me 24/7 since the day I have had her, sleeping with me, going everywhere with me, she has literally been my saviour.
Please if you have any spare money, please donate. I know there are greater causes out there that deserve the money, trust me I didn’t want to ask anyone for help, but this ismy last resort. I can’t lose this dog, she saved me and now I have to save her or at least try. Please help me try give Mabel the chance she deserves.
