Macomb Feeding the Need started in February 2011. Our mission is Feeding the Needs of the Community, Mind, Body, Soul and Spirit. We are a legal 501c3 Tax exempt entity. We currently provide community Meals at the Roseville Masonic Temple 27151 Gratiot just north of 11 mile, Tuesday and Friday 9:00am to 1:00pm. The homeless, veterans, elderly, children, families, mentally and physically challenged and anyone who is hungry can enjoy a continental breakfast, a warm lunch served at noon and a bagged lunch to go.
We also have a diaper cupboard and gently used clothing closet program for all those that qualify. We provide supplemental diapers, wipes and based on availability, formula, and clothing by appointment on Mondays, Wednesday‘s and every Thursday from 10:00am to 1:00pm and it is free to all in need.
Also Macomb Feeding the Need has been providing donated furniture for those who have chosen to change their life and homeless status for housing. Our goal is to help individuals get employment. Then with financial resources, to secure a security deposit to move into a home. But we don’t stop there. We realize that they require some skills to be successful. So we partner them with a Focus Group. They are assigned a Focus Group, which consists of individuals from finance (Banker or Financial Advisor, etc.), Child Care worker (Teacher, Day Care provider, etc.), a person who knows the resources available in their community, and a Leader with training in counseling. This is their support group to continue the path of improving their lives. The reason for four individuals in the group is to offer every advantage for the individual to be successful; we have found that these are the areas that they need the most help. We are asking for your willingness to support our endeavors, and provide us not only funding but also your support.
We need your help more than ever as we are need to raise $84,000 to continue to offer our services. Just this year to date we have fed 2,804 meals, Diapered 8,547 babies and clothed 5,219 individuals. Just think of how much more we can do with your help.
