Cooperstown Bound

Double PLAYS’ 12U baseball team is going to Cooperstown, NY to play in the World Series at historic Dreams Park in June of 2019.  The total cost for this “once in a lifetime” experience will be $15,000.  This will cover the required registration costs for the entire team for the entire week of the tournament.

Double PLAYS - Atlanta, Inc. (Double PLAYS) is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3), community-based sports organization in Southwest Atlanta.  At Double PLAYS our mission is in our name:  Promoting Leadership and Youth Success through sports.   Our goal is to develop kids into great athletes, who will become outstanding members of the community.  We do this by first requiring that all of our athletes are true “scholar-athletes”. Success in school is the first step to success in life.  In addition to being recognized as one of the top 10 baseball teams at our age group, and winning multiple tournaments, State Championships, and World Series championships over the past couple of seasons, our kids are also proven leaders in the classroom obtaining distinguished recognition as Junior Beta Club members, gifted/challenge curriculum tagged students, debate club members, and honor roll students.  Another fact that separates us from other youth organizations is that we also require that all of our teams give back to the community through some form of community service. We are asking for your support!
