Rice not bullet
Donation protected
Kidpawan farmers in the Philippines are hungry because of El Nino or drought.
Farmers and Lumads came down from their villages to ask the provincial officials to release the relief fund such as rice. But the negotiations failed and in the process resulted in the death of at least 3 farmers. Many brought their children along not wanting to leave them behind in the hopes of a peaceful and successful negotiation.
Unfortunately, the farmers are still hungry while fighting for their right for food.Next time when you throw that food in the garbage because you are too full, count that as a blessing. Not everyone is as fortunate.
This funding is an appeal to anyone who have extra money to spare for the farmers. No amount is too small when we put them all together.I will make sure the money will reach the farmers. I am not a politician. Just a concerned citizen.
I got so touched watching the people who grew food for a living go hungry.Isn't it ironic?
Please spread the word.
