Stimatze House Fire Tragedy

In the early morning hours of June 8th, 2019 an electrical outlet sparked behind the couch in the living room of my brother's home, causing the couch to ignite and catch fire, changing the lives of my brother and his small family forever. If it had not been for my nephew who had woken up to use the restroom and saw the fire, who knows if they would have made it out alive. My nephew, who is only 10 years old, couldn't run past the fire since it had already engulfed most of the living room had to run outside the house and bang on my brothers window, screaming to wake him and his mother up. My brother and the kids' mom had to scramble outside through a window and run to the other side of the home and break a window to get their other two small children, ages 8 and 5, out of the house. Unfortunately their two dogs, a pug named Budda and a coon hound named Hercules, did not survive. 

My brother Nathan's home was a total loss and we have been told that due to the fumes and smoke that all of their possessions are unrecoverable. Clothes, toys, photos; everything imaginable ripped away in an instant. Nathan Stimatze, Sabrina Hazen and their children Mason, Kaylie and William are truly lucky to have made it out with their lives.

We are so thankful and lucky that they are alive and made it out with just a few cuts and scrapes but now is an even greater trial where we are asking for our communities help in any way possible to help our family recover from this tragedy that has rocked our family to its core.

The trailer home must be moved and demolished of course which comes with a hefty price tag of around $3,000-4,000 and afterwards we are just trying to help pick up the pieces and help my brother's family recover whatever pieces of their lives they had before this happened.
