As most of you who know me might already know, I don't mince words, so I hope the title of this page doesn't offend. But that's basically the truth. Hey, if I wasn't making fun of myself (or others!), you'd probably think someone else was writing this. :-)
I was diagnosed initially with Anal Cancer about 6 weeks ago (mid February), but the diagnosis was definitively confirmed last Friday (March 25, 2016). At that time they also biopsied my liver, which has one spot in it. That too is cancer, but luckily I just have the one spot. Out damn spot! So I am turning to internet panhandling to help cover my bills. Yes, I have health insurance, but mine is a high deductible policy, so it will end up costing me much more money than I have. I chose the high deductible policy becasue I've always been so healthy! This is what years of eating right and working out will do for you. lol
In addition to medical bills, I will have a long road ahead of me, and I will more than likely need to take time off from my job. Getting 60% of my salary from medical disability will not even cover my expenses. So I will need to eat into my savings for that. And there is the little matter of my car being stolen last weekend (March 26, 2016). If I don't get my car back, or if I do get it back with significant damage, there is another deductible I will have to cover. When it rains it pours, I guess.
So, dear friends, family, and internet peeps, I come to you with hat in hand. I loath asking for help. But I need it. Bad. I really want to beat this, but I'd prefer not coming out the other side as a homeless person. lol. I would be most grateful for anything you can spare. And if you want value for your dollar, you can buy one of my lovely paintings (see the photos on my Facebook page). Or you can commission something. I'm not sure how much energy I will have for painting once the chemo and radiation starts kicking my ass (literally!), but I will do my best.
