Amber's Flood Disaster Fund

Donation protected
Amber Flannery left her hometown of Buckhannon,
West Virginia to begin her teaching career at Bethel-Hanberry Elementary School in Blythewood, SC.  She was filled with excitement as she decorated her first classroom and planned for an amazing first year of teaching. She settled into her apartment in Forest Acres, SC and was extremely excited about her new life until tragedy struck early Sunday morning.  When she woke up to the sound of pouring rain she quickly realized that her apartment was flooding.  In a panic she grabbed her dogs and headed towards her door.     Just as she was walking out the door she remembered that she brought home her students' science projects to grade.  She couldn't let them get ruined, so yes she grabbed them too, like any good teacher would. :) The majority of Sunday she spent in her car waiting for the waters to go down so she could return to her apartment. Needless to say the apartment is a total loss and she is now displaced.

She is currently living in the apartment until Saturday at which time she has to vacate.   Finding a new apartment is a challenge within itself. Furthermore paying all the fees that come along with renting makes it all the more difficult.
My name is Kristen Cromer and Amber is my coworker and friend. I want to make this tradegy a little less to bear by helping her start over.  Will you please join me in showing her what  Southern Hospitality is like?  Thank you for your support.
