BE THEIR "GIFT OF HOPE"

WE ROSE OUT OF THE RUBBLE WHEN OUR ROOF FELL IN DECEMBER 2010 NOW WE MUST NOT GIVE UP WHEN FACED WITH ANOTHER TRAGEDY

Recently we have had a case of Canine Brucellosis reported by the Wisconin Department of Agriculture. from a dog who had been in our facility. This disease is quite rare and symptoms are very similar to many other ailments and therefore, it is often overlooked by veterinarians; diagnosis often comes after other aliments have been ruled out.  This can leave many dogs exposed and their owners not ever even know it.

Armani(Pictured above at approx. 5-6 months old) lost his life this past Thursday to this virus. I am beyond heartbroken as we lose yet another we had saved. You try , in this world of darkness that so many who need our help live in, to brighten their worlds, to show them there is a better place, that they will be loved, and that THEIR LIVES MATTER, then this, we loose in a game we had no chance in. We cannot change the rules, we can not turn back, we can not skip a turn. We must move on, we keep saving because if we give up now then we lost in vain.

Rembering Girbaud and Armani with sadnes and tears...   4/2015 - 8/2015 ,  4/2015 - 9/2015

In a world where it seems people care less, why not be a person who cares more?  HELP US LET THEM KNOW THEIR LIVES MATTER!

Wow, it warms our hearts to see you all stepping up and giving, we have had some pretty long and not so bright days here at the rescue as we struggle to keep spirits up while we muddle through our quarantine. We have worked so hard for so many years, helped thousands by now, that we just can not give up with out a fight. We have spent years surviving on limited funds and wonderful volunteers, and a whole lotta "hope" for the future of our GGOH rescue animals.  Being the only operating shelter in our county we are determined to keep going even when knocked down time and time again.  Your more than generous donations will help us keep the hope alive for the current animals in our care and the abandoned, stray, homeless, injured and discarded animals that are still out there in need of help

We Can Not Help Them Without The Help From You...

There is a lot of information on this disease out there to become familiar with and we encourage you to do some reading so that you can become an informed and educated pet owner.  Please take time to educate yourself about this disease.  The fact remains, the disease is out there and any of us who own canines are at risk.

We hope that people will continue to support our efforts to help these animals as they will need to be cared for, sheltered & receive routine medical care.  The cost of testing(s) is quite expensive and with an already non-existent budget, we are trying to hold it together for the sake of the animals. Being of the NO-KILL philosophy, we stand behind our decision to continue to care for our rescue dogs, the welfare of our rescue dogs is always top priority.

PLEASE VISIT OUR WEBSITE @ www.ggohinc.com to learn more about our organization and its effortss to save the animals.
