Help Heal Chuck

Donation protected
Chuck, also known as "Chucklehead" or "Charlie,"  is the Gonfalon Farm border collie/something mascot. Adopted from an animal shelter in Waterloo, N.Y., seven years ago, he has brought great joy to farm visitors, including autisic and special needs kids, elderly and other animal friends.  Yesterday, Chuck hurt his back, and is paralyzed in one rear leg, and partially paralyzed in the other,  and is now at the Veternary Specialist of Rochester. He needs at minimum, an MRI and then followed by a surgery, which we have been told will cost up to *$8,000 (as of 10/21/2014, we are now looking at about $4,000). While we were prepared for a bill up to $3,000, there is no way, even with a loan, that we could pay for an $8,000 surgery. Chuck is loved by so many, and brings such great joy to many people.  So, I am reaching out, asking if you can help to fund the care, rehabilitation and surgery that Chuckhead needs to remain part of our farm family for the rest of his life. It's not just a fund-raiser? Want compost? We will deliver a small truckload of compost within a 20 mile radius of Mendon for a donation of $50 or more. $1,000 gets you 52 rides in Mendon Ponds Park on "Big John," Chuck's draft-cross horse friend  (*but you must have riding experience and be over 18).
