Funky Monkeys are Going to Globals!

This fundraising campaign is for me, personally. It is not affiliated with Destination Imagination, Salisbury Middle School, or The Funky Monkeys. At the close of this campaign, all funds earned will go directly to my pocket. Upon taking ownership of funds earned through this campaign, I will make a personal donation to Salisbury Middle School to fund The Funky Monkeys'registration and trip to Global Finals. The sum of this personal donation will be 100% of the amount of funds earned through this campaign. I will personally absorb all fees associated with online transactions.

Destination Imagination is an educational program in which student teams solve open-ended Challenges and present their solutions at Tournaments. Teams are tested to think on their feet, work together and devise original solutions that satisfy the requirements of the Challenges. Participants gain more than just basic knowledge and skills they learn to unleash their imaginations and take unique approaches to problem solving. Every year, 125,000 students across the U.S. and in more than 30 countries advance to the Global Tournament in Knoxville, Tennessee.
In March, the Funky Monkeys, from Salisbury Middle School, participated in the DI Regional Tournament, placed first, and advanced to the State Tournament. The State Tournament was held on April 1st at UMBC. The Funky Monkeys competed against 18 of the top scoring middle schools in the state of Maryland, at the 3-Peat Improvisational Challenge. The Funky Monkeys placed third, enabling them to advance to the Global Finals Tournament in Knoxville, Tennessee May 22nd - May 27th.
Now the Funky Monkeys have another challenge… Fundraising enough money to get there! Our team still needs to fundraise approximately $5,500 in the month leading up to Globals. This money will be used to provide room and board at the University of Tennessee for the team members and coaches. Please consider making a monetary donation to help send the Funky Monkeys to Knoxville for a chance to earn the title of BEST IN THE WORLD!
