Funeral funds for Donna Shields

Please help us support our loving sister, mother, grandmother, Donna. Many have asked what they could do to help and any amount would help cover the costs of the funerals services. After a few years of fighting multiple health issues, Donna took her last breaths with her sons by her side.
This tragedy has left our family with a financial obstacle to provide the funeral and memorial services she deserves. Our family is humbled to ask for help during these difficult times. We whole heartedly appreciate any donation.

Donna worked for SF park and Rec. for over 30 years. She made an impact at Potrero Hill Gym. Where she coached numerous girls sports teams all while attending SFSU for her bachelors degree. She then transferred over to Crocker Amazon in the Excelsior District while being pregnant with one of her sons. Donna was a loving and respected educator that loved to help others. She took a break from school to start a family and raise her two sons with her late husband, Freddy.
For those that crossed paths with Donna would describe her as outgoing, kind-hearted, the first to start a conversation with strangers, someone that always put others first, and so much more. Donna was a huge SF Giants fan. She was a season ticket holder at Candlestick and when she retired, she became a season ticket hold with her sister, Chris. Her favorite players were Sergio Romo, Tim Lincecum, and Pablo Sandoval.
In February of 2016, Donna got in a minor car accident which triggered several different health issues. Donna fought long, hard and strong for the following three years.
Donna will truly be missed by so many.
