On Friday, November 16th, 2018, just one week before her birthday, our beloved mother, Clementina Llamas, passed away after a tough, painful fight against complications related to kidney disease.
Our mother was the strongest, most caring figure in our lives and her spirit will live on within our hearts. While we try to remain resilient during this challenging time, we would like to reach out to friends and family to ask for a grand gesture that will relieve some of the pressure off of our father, Hector, who has spent his life selflessly providing not only for each of us but also to anyone he knows who is in need. Our father was our mother’s rock and continues to be ours. We are currently asking for donations to help fund our mother's funeral service so that our father can focus on paying off the significant out-of-pocket medical expenses left over from our mother's care.
Your kind contribution will assist with our mother's funeral service at the Gates, Kingsley & Gates Smith Salsbury Mortuary. This includes her viewing at the on-site chapel, cremation, urn, and light flower arrangements. We know that the holiday season is around the corner, so we are trying to keep the cost of her service as low as possible. However, we have also included the estimated cost for a mariachi band to sing "Las Mañanitas" to her at the funeral as it will hopefully take place on her birthday. This was our mother’s final wish for her birthday so our family thinks it is important to follow through with this and let our mother know how much she is loved and will be greatly missed.
The total amount of the service and mariachi band is $7,800. We don't expect to have all of this on time since the funeral service will potentially take place on Friday, November 23rd, but the sooner we receive donations the more feasible her funeral service will be on the day of her birthday.
From the bottom of our hearts, this kind gesture will be appreciated more than you know.
