Isaac was the most genuine sweetest little boy.  He was so full of life!  He was soon to turn 8 and could not wait to follow our Savior's example and be baptized.   He was also looking forward to a new move, a new house, a new school, new friends!  On Saturday June 9, as friends organized a last get-together to bid the family farewell, Isaac was involved in a tragic drowning accident that took his life.
Memorial services will take place this Saturday, June 16, 2018. 12-1:30pm will be the viewing.  Service will begin at 2pm.  Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.   9800 U.S. Hwy 15/501, Pinehurst, NC 28374 .  In lieu of flowers, we are asking for any donations to help relieve the family from any funeral expenses.  We are so grateful for so many that have joined us in prayers and shown so much love & support thus far.  Please continue to do so by making a small donation.  All funds will go towards funeral expenses and helping the family get by during this extremely difficult time.  All donations will be directly transferred into their account.

A little update for those who could not attend Isaac’s memorial service yesterday. We know that you were there in Spirit, we have felt your love all around since this tragedy happened. Isaac’s service was probably one of the most profound I’ve ever attended because though his life was short here on earth, his sweet spirit was able to touch so many lives. His loving smile, those memorable dimples, his enthusiasm on life, his willingness to learn and serve, his love for the Gospel were some of the many things that were mentioned.
When the Sapps arrived here in Cameron NC, Isaac was just a little toddler. At the time, I was serving in the children’s organization known as the Primary. We were so excited to receive the Sapp family into our ward (church) and help us grow in numbers. Soon after their arrival, I was assigned to Laura Sapp (Isaac’s mother) as her visiting teacher and then, later on, as her companion. (If you are not a member of the LDS church, the visiting teaching program, recently renamed the “ministering program”, is a way for us ladies to connect with other sisters, and fellowship with one another, offer support and assistance whenever needed. I am so grateful for this program as it allowed the opportunity for Laura and I to build a true friendship). As I discovered a little more about the Sapp family, I realized that they had a great love and compassion for animals. I learned that they had a great collection of pets, from a live-in pot belly pig to chickens, ducks, cats, a bunny, a prairie dog, … to mention a few. It was heavenly news to my ears for a photographer such as myself. I HAD to coordinate a day with Laura to capture a shoot with their friendly family pets. My first personal encounter with Isaac was in July of 2014 when I went to the Sapp home to take some pictures. I was greeted with open arms by this perfect little goldilocks!! Hair as gold as wheat, curls as soft as cotton. Not only did he hug me upon arrival, but he continued throughout my stay. He never left my side and was so eager to be in front of the camera, not one bit shy, I could not help myself but capture a few images of this perfect little angel. (Pictures included on the post). Over the course of the last few years, as I watched Isaac grow, his sweetness, his kindness, his love for animals, his testimony of the Gospel only grew as he grew in size. When volunteers for prayers, talks, or scripture reading were needed during Sunday School, he was always first and always very happy to serve. His presence could not be denied and these are the wonderful memories he’s left with us. Although he will be greatly missed by his family, friends and teachers, we also know that Heavenly Father has called him home to serve a greater purpose. We know that he is whole now and walking alongside our beloved brother and Savior, Jesus Christ. We are so honored to have had this time with him. We cannot thank you enough for all the efforts, the love and support we have received. You have truly uplifted our spirits during this difficult time and we are forever indebted to you.
I have included the cost of the memorial service and how the funds will be distributed. I, Nathalie Lopez, will receive the funds in my banking account. I will ensure that all appropriate parties involved receive final payment before submitting a check with the remaining amount to the Sapp family. We are still hoping to reach our goal so that we may offer Isaac one last gift, a beautiful head stone. In his honor, his parents have graciously chosen to donate his organs to save other lives.

As of this morning, you may have noticed that the goal was raised to $15,000. The Sapp family is deeply truly grateful for the outpouring support. We would not have been able to reach our last goal without your help! We have read each and every comment, and would thank you individually if we could. Initially when this campaign was started, we did not have a good idea of what a funeral could cost, but now that time has passed we have been able to sum up a total cost. Our wish would be to relieve them of any funeral expenses. Please continue to help us reach our final goal by sharing this link to family and friends so that we could cover the unanticipated expenses. We are so grateful for everything that you've done!! From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you!

The outpouring support has been amazing!! From the bottom of our hearts, we cannot thank you enough! I am shaking while typing this because you have truly brought me to my knees. Before creating this page, my fear was that maybe we wouldn't receive any response and I did not want to break this mama's heart a second time, but you have shown what true love is. You brought us hope during such a desperate time. Today my heart is full of gratitude... I see names I do not recognize, I am truly humbled with the many donations. As of today, I am raising the goal to 10,000 so we can give this beautiful boy a well-deserved grave stone. Please continue to be on this journey with us and share this link.
Isaac's body will travel to Maryland where the family was to relocate before the accident to rest in peace. You have made that possible! Thank you so very much!
