Funeral Arrangements for Carri Boots

Our wonderful mother took her last breath on earth at 3:50 AM on Saturday, November 17, 2018. She was alert and fought to hold on until that last of us kids that were able to come were at the hospital. Then, one at a time, she hugged each of us, told us she loved us, gave words of advice, and kissed us goodbye. It's a moment I'll be thankful for forever and one I'll never forget. She told Dad when she was saying goodbye, "You were my best friend. We were supposed to get old together." Unfortunately she wasn't able to do that because God had other plans. He invited her Home and she went. She wasn't hoping she would go to Heaven or wondering if she would make it - she knew she was going because she had accepted Jesus Christ as her Saviour and, according to the Bible, that was all the assurance she needed. She slipped into unconsciousness around midnight and finally succumbed to her cancer at almost 4 AM. She is no longer in pain, and though it's hard to see her go, we didn't lose her. We know right where she is, and because she pointed us to Jesus, we are going to see her there in Heaven some day. No one could have ever asked for a better mother. 
She and my dad were best friends, and he spent everything he had trying to get her the treatments for her cancer. Through the generosity of so many on GoFundMe, we raised about $29,000 for her treatments, but the last of that was spent on her last round of treatments in Germany. In lieu of flowers, we are trying to help my dad cover the cost of the funeral expenses. Your donation will go directly to defray those costs. Mom was loved by so many and was so good at what she did - living larger than life as a wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend! We will miss her tremendously!
