End of life care and Funeral Expenses for Ben

Donation protected
Family and friends, I am asking for your help to raise money for the Osido family for Ben’s medical and funeral expenses. Ben was admitted on Sunday, May 5th for Pneumonia. He responded well to his treatments and was supposed to get discharged to a rehab facility and then go home. Unfortunately, on Thursday, May 16th, his son Vincent received a devastating news from his family in the Philippines and was told that Ben had Cardiac Arrest and was unresponsive. The doctors said Ben’s body had gotten weaker and was no longer responding to medications. With heavy heart, Vincent flew on Friday, May 17th, to be with his dad on his final days. Although he was already preparing his self, he was still praying for a miracle to happen. Sadly, when his plane landed to one of his first stopovers, Vincent found out that his dad passed away.

For anyone who knew Ben, he’s one of the few people that can be counted on to be there for you through thick and thin. If you have some sort of issue, you can go to him for advice. He takes the time to listen to your problems with opens ears and an open heart, and then he always comes up with a possible solution for you to take away.

Most importantly, Ben was an incredible father to Vince. He devoted his life to raising him and made sure he had all the necessities of life. He did whatever it took to make sure his son was living comfortably.

My dad has been such a powerful and impactful force within my life that I have no clue how I would’ve turned out without him. He’s one of the first people to know about something new happening in my life. I can talk to him about whatever is on my mind and he always shares some of his stories and fatherly wisdom with me.Over the years I’ve come to realize just how much my dad has done for me and I’m extremely grateful for him. He gave me life, nurtured me, taught me, hugged me, dressed me, but most importantly he loved me unconditionally. My dad is a man like no other. My dad is my hero”.

While nothing will ever fill the loss they feel right now, your donations will help assist with the unexpected finances they now face.
Please know that any amount —no matter how small —will benefit the Osido family.

I thank you beforehand for your love and support during these hard times.

With gratitude,
Mari Dayrit
