Jesse's Recovery Fund

Donation protected

Dear Friends, Family, and Our New Friends Reading This,

We are humbled to create this fundraiser. Beyond humbled. We are embarrassed. But we need your help. Jesse is sick and needs treatment. With his medical debt already in the tens of thousands of dollars, he has run out of options. His school loans have been taken away because of his debt. He does not qualify for credit anymore, and he needs to receive treatment in order to continue his recovery so he has a chance of getting back to work.

While Jesse’s health has been suffering for years, we are happy to say it appears that we have a proper diagnosis, and his symptoms are slowly improving. On a bad day however Jesse is psychically unable to get out of bed, unable to walk, or tolerate daylight. Most people don’t see what Jesse looks like on a bad day but myalgic encephalomyelitis keeps Jesse from functioning on a very basic level, and his need for help is dire and can not be overstated.

Jesse has been a huge inspiration to us. While his the road to recovery has been long and painful he has never stopped fighting. He sees at least one doctor a week. He spends hours online every day reading scientific studies looking for new therapies. He studies biochemistry, nutrition, psychology, and psychiatry, in a hope to find better treatment. His medical knowledge has reached a point where he knows more than many of the doctors he is assigned.

And that is a big part of the problem. In order to see a specialist that understands and has a record of helping people recover from myalgic encephalomyelitis, Jesse must see a doctor, and receive treatment, that is not covered by health insurance. With credit no longer an option, he is at an impasse where he can continue treatment and continue recovery, or stop recovery and be at further risk for permanent hospitalization, homelessness… or worse. All money raised will go directly to treatment, doctors, and medicine to get Jesse well. The team of doctors operating already operating on a discount costs $462 dollars a month. Meds not covered by insurance is $540 a month. At the recommendation of Jesse's team of doctors we are looking to raise support for one year, with a total goal of $9,624.

During his almost 20 year long award-winning career, he has produced dozens of projects seen by millions across the world, he has helped so many young people get started in their own careers, lent his platform to so many marginalized voices, created projects that aim to make the world a better place. We ask that you support Jesse so he can continue to get back on his feet, and continue his work. Your contribution will make a huge difference in his life, in his families lives, and all of those impacted by his work. Thank you.

A flyer is linked here  to print to help get your office or community contribute.

I will be withdrawing fund's on Jesse's behalf and arranging direct deposit with his health care providers and pharamcaies.

Our Most Sincere Thanks and Appreciation,
